Creating A Bedroom Retreat

bedroom retreat

I don’t know about you but one of my favorite things after a long day is jumping into my bed. I know that was a little too obvious right? Of course, jumping into bed is a great feeling but what makes me love it even more is walking into my bedroom and seeing a soft, cozy, relaxing, and welcoming bed; seeing a bed that looks and feels like I’ve escaped to a different place.

How do I do this? Well, step one is I make my bed. But what puts the icing on the cake for me is how I style my bed.

Yes, I’m talking about extra pillows and getting my bed to look like it just came out of one of those home magazines.

Today I’m going to share with you some designer secrets-home magazine, HGTV, Pinterest secrets to get your bed looking and feeling like a retreat!

Secret 1:

Invest in a quality, fluffy comforter, and pillows.

Not only will these make your bed feel more comfortable they also maintain their shape much better than the generic ones.

Secret 2:

Make sure your bed skirt matches the color of your sheets and comforter.

Having a bed skirt in general makes a difference. If you get one that matches everything else on the bed then it will help to ground the space.

Secret 3:

Pillows, pillows, and more pillows. Have varying sizes and textures.

Yes, they really do make a difference. You can definitely go cheaper on these pillows.

The biggest thing about all of this is that your bed will look and feel like you just walked into a really nice hotel and it only takes a couple of minutes in the morning to create.
